Festival beckons; SCHOOLS CRICKET.

CLEVELAND Under-11s are in festival mood this week when they head south for the annual Minor Counties Festival of Cricket in Suffolk.

The festival's 45-over matches are being staged at the Royal Hospital School in Ipswich.

The local juniors will pitch their wits against a number of minor county teams including Norfolk, Suffolk, Shropshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Under-11 team manager Doug Welch will be hoping his side can maintain their good form, having lost just one match against Bradford this season from their six outings to date.

The squad is: Matthew Gill Matthew Gill (born November 8 1980 in Cambridge, England) is a professional footballer with English Conference side Exeter City.

Gill, a midfielder, began his career as a trainee with then league two side Peterborough United.
 (captain), Joe Gaudie (vice captain), Ben Ainsley, Ben Stevenson Ben Stevenson, O.B.E., is a native of Portsmouth, England, along with being a former ballet dancer with Britain's Royal Ballet and English National Ballet, co-director of National Ballet in Washington, D.C. , Scott Kirby, Tom Chisholm, Sam Parry, Faizan Hussain, Matthew Bowman Matthew Bowman (born January 31, 1990 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire) is an English striker and midfielder who currently plays for Sheffield Wednesday. Although an Academy player he was called up to the senior squad at the start of 2006-07 season to ease the club's injury problems. , Adam Fenby, Luke Swan, Ross Nicholson, Josh Tribick, Jason Erskine, Liam Clark.
