COLORADO'S SPANISH-LANGUAGE radio magnate Zee Ferrufino, owner of Denver's KBNO-AM, bought two other AM radio stations along the Front Range, KXRE in Colorado Springs and KAVA in Pueblo to create a network that last month broadcast the entire series of NFL playoff games and the Super Bowl -- in Spanish, naturally.

Dave Gillman, chief executive officer of First National Bank of Colorado, was pro. filed in Training magazine as one of 11 named executives who "get it" when it comes to the importance of training. Gillman was the only banker named; First National has a training curriculum for nearly every bank position.

And on March 19, Michelle Boggs, president and COO of McKinley Marketing Partners Inc. in Denver, will be honored in Washington D.C. at the Library of Congress by the Women's Business Enterprise National Congress. She is one of 14 company presidents cited for the leadership. Boggs co-founded McKinley in 1995; it is headquartered in Alexandria, Va.

Mary Ann Ehiers, executive assistant to Phil Anschutz, chairman and CEO of the Anschutz Corp. of Denver, was installed last month as president of the Denver chapter of Executive Women International.

Paul H. Chan, general counsel for the University of Denver, received the 2002 Trailblazer Award from the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association in Atlanta.

Jerome Davis, supplier diversity administrator for Xcel Energy Inc., has been re-elected chairman of the board of the Rocky Mountain Supplier Development Council. Davis has served on the board for six years.
