The weapons and rules of modern fencing evolved from combat weapons and their usage.
: Wrexham Wrexham (rĕk`səm), Welsh Wrescam, town (1981 pop. 39,929) and county borough, 193 sq mi (499 sq km), NE Wales. It lies in the coal field of N Wales.  fencers Cassandra Eades and George Dolan travelled down to Cornwall for the latest round of the Leon Paul Junior series hoping to improve their ranking before the summer break.

Both Wrexham fencers entered the foil competition, with Cassie in the under-13 girls and George in the U11 boys.

In the poules, Cassie managed to win four of her fights and eventually finished in fifth place, moving her up to fifth in the rankings.

George continued his excellent recent form, by taking gold in Cornwall to move up to joint second in the rankings.
