This month Northern Ireland's Earthquake Festival of International Dance shows an ambitious program of international dance from kathak - See Kāṭhaka for the Vedic school.
Kathak is one of the classical dance forms of India (originally from North India). It is a narrative dance form characterized by fast footwork (tatkar), spins (chakkar to Native American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of , from ballet to break dancing. The companies performing include Nederlands Dans Theater Nederlands Dans Theater (Dutch Dance Theatre also known as the NDT) is a contemporary dance company established in 1959 breaking away from the more traditionally oriented Dutch National Ballet (Het Nederlands Ballet). 2, First Nations Dance Company, Adzido Dance, and the Demon demon, supernatural being, generally malevolent in character. In general, the more civilized pagan societies came to consider demons as powerful, supernatural beings who lacked the dignity of gods and who, depending on the circumstance, might be either benevolent or Barbers.
