Feed The Children to Send Relief Items to Assist Flood Victims in North Dakota.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Feed The Children is delivering a truckload of disaster relief items to aid the flood victims in North Dakota where rain has caused flash floods and broken levees, damaging thousands of homes. This truckload of supplies will be delivered on Monday to Spirit Lake Tribe in North Dakota and includes the following items:

* Water

* Paper products

* Ready-to-eat food

* Cleaning supplies

As the need rises, Feed The Children stands poised and ready to continue bringing food and relief supplies.

"We understand that it takes a long time to recover from a disaster," said Larry Jones, founder and president of Feed The Children. "Feed The Children has been helping children and families in need for more than 30 years and is one of the first relief agencies on site after a disaster strikes. Most importantly, Feed The Children is one of the last to leave making sure that every need is met."

Feed The Children is continuing to monitor State and Federal information, and is in regular communication with North Dakota and Minnesota Emergency Management officials, our partner agencies, FEMA and members of the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (NVOAD). Feed The Children is an active member of NVOAD.

Cash donations can be sent to Feed The Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101.
