Feds and Ontario will integrate health services in James Bay area.

The Weeneebayko Area Health Integration Framework Agreement will integrate federal and provincial health services under a community-controlled organization. Health Canada's goal is to improve Canadian life by improving Canadian longevity, lifestyle and use of public healthcare.
, the Ontario government and First Nations agree to:

* amalgamate the federal Weeneebayko General Hospital with the provincial James Bay General Hospital;

* provide capital funding for new projects; and

* improve primary health services through effective integration with hospital services under the direction of a single provider.
