is determined to get his hands on the Wimbledon trophy for a fourth year in succession in a fortnight's time.

And if the Swiss star has his own way, that will be the only award he collects at the All England Club this year.

Federer will surpass Bjorn Borg's record of 41 straight grass court victories if he overcomes France's Richard Gasquet in the opening round, but could hardly care less about it ( "It's sort of nice" he concedes.

"Honestly, it's not the right thing to get a trophy for streaks," insisted Federer, whose last defeat on grass was in the first round at Wimbledon in 2002, when he was beaten in straight sets by Mario Ancic.

"I don't feel that's right. You get a trophy at the end of a tournament, not after a first-round win."

Federer is also looking to become only the third player in the open era to win Wimbledon for four years in a row. Pete Sampras was the last to do so from 1997-2000, while Borg won five in a row from 1976-1980.
