Federated shareholders vote to approve Macy's merger.


CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 1994--Shareholders of Federated Connected and treated as one. Macy & Co., Inc., which is expected to take place late this year. More than 98 percent of the shareholder votes cast were voted in support of the merger.

Of the total 94,359,789 votes cast, 92,777,521 shares of Federated common stock were voted in favor of upon the side of; favorable to; for the advantage of.

Following today's vote, the merger still must be approved by Macy's creditors and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court bankruptcy court n. the specialized Federal court in which bankruptcy matters under the Federal Bankruptcy Act are conducted.
