Federated Systems Group enters into agreement with IBM.


CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1996--Federated Department Stores This is a list of department stores. In the case of department store groups the location of the flagship store is given. This agreement will supply us with the latest technology and flexible, cost-effective solutions that will enable us to concentrate on what we do best - develop retail systems for the store and support divisions of Federated."

FSG has more than 1,200 total employees, approximately 140 of whom are affected by today's announcement. A significant number of such affected employees will be offered employment by IBM Global Services, beginning in February 1997. Others may be reassigned at FSG or offered positions with other affiliated companies Affiliated Companies
