Federal employees marriage grant increased upto Rs 50,000.ISLAMABAD, April 22, 2011 (Balochistan Times): The Board of Trustees, Federal Employees Benevolent be·nev·o·lentadj. 1. Characterized by or suggestive of doing good. 2. Of, concerned with, or organized for the benefit of charity. and Group Insurance Fund on Thursday decided to increase the rate of marriage grant of one child from Rs.10,000 to 50,000. The board in its meeting held here under the chairmanship of Secretary Establishment Division Abdul Rauf Chaudhry also approved several other benefits for federal government employees. The board also approved extension of marriage grant facility to serving as well as retired employees to share some burden of the increasing cost on marriages. The decision will benefit thousands of Federal Government employees every year. The board further approved 100% increase in payment of burial charges on death of serving as well as retired federal government employees from Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000.The board decided re-imbursement of semester/annual fees for professional education (degree program) of Medical, Engineering, IT and Business studies in public sector universities, colleges and institutes for those children of serving/retired employees, who would get admission on merit. The meeting decided that the reimbursement Reimbursement Payment made to someone for out-of-pocket expenses has incurred. will continue for the whole period of studies.
