Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC)
The body that is responsible for setting the interest rates and credit policies of the Federal Reserve System.
 on June 25, 2004, announced its tentative meeting schedule for 2005: February 1-2 (Tuesday-Wednesday), March 22, May 3, June 29-30 (Wednesday-Thursday), August 9, September 20, November 1, and December 13, 2005; and January 31-February 1, 2006 (Tuesday-Wednesday).
