Quest Selects Jerry Elmquist to Support Public Sector Group

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- Quest Software The computer-software manufacturer Quest Software (Quest Software, Inc.) (NASDAQ: QSFT), headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, dates from 1987. Quest develops, sells, and supports database management, Windows management, and application management software products  (Nasdaq:QSFT) today announced the appointment of Jerry Elmquist as manager of public sector channels and alliances. Elmquist brings more than two decades of public sector information technology and network solutions experience to Quest. In his new role, Elmquist will work with the public sector sales team and channels to package solutions for Quest's government and education customers.

Most recently, Elmquist was managing principal at Internosis (now EMC (1) (EMC Corporation, Hopkinton, MA, www.emc.com) The leading supplier of storage products for midrange computers and mainframes. Founded in 1979 by Richard J. Egan and Roger Marino, EMC has developed advanced storage and retrieval technologies for the world's largest companies. ) where he was responsible for the company's strategy for supporting the Army, Army contract management and business development. Prior to that, Elmquist worked with SI International, a provider of information technology and network solutions for the federal government. At SI International, he spearheaded business development for Department of Defense (DoD) accounts, including new wins at AFPCA AFPCA Air Force Pentagon Communication Agency , Army eHR and DIMHRS DIMHRS Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (US DoD) . Elmquist previously worked as director of federal programs at Wang Labs, director of strategic planning Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people.  at Unisys and manager of federal programs at Hewlett Packard. He is a graduate of Augustana College Augustana College is the name of two colleges in the U.S., and the former name of one in Canada, all founded by Scandinavian immigrants:
