Federal Express.
FedEx's Anchorage Hub is featured in the latest issue of
Fortune magazine. The article, titled "Why FedEx is Flying
High," illustrates Anchorage's critical role in FedEx's
growth. It aptly describes the city as "heaven on earth for the $25
billion transportation giant" and its lead photo is of FedEx's
operations at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. For
companies like FedEx that ship air cargo between China and the United
States, Anchorage lies in a prime strategic location. Of the 111
recently allowed U.S.-China all-cargo routes, 62 will pass through
Anchorage.
