Researchers tracked more than 36,000 Swedish women for 15 years. Those who reported eating fatty fish at least once a week both at the beginning of the study and 10 years later had a 74 percent lower risk of kidney cancer than those who said they ate no fatty fish.

The researchers found no protection from lean seafood like cod, tuna, shrimp, and lobster.
