Fatty acid cream improves facial & skin appearance.Does a treatment for aching joints work on facial wrinkles too? Proprietary Nutritionals Inc. (PNI), Anaheim, CA, recently unveiled new research conducted with Celadrin, a proprietary blend of special fatty acids lauded for its ability to promote joint health, which found that using Celadrin cream for 21 days can visually improve facial and skin appearance. The study, titled "The Effects of Celadrin Topical Cream Treatment to Improve Facial Skin Appearance," was commissioned by its developer, Imagenetix, Inc., San Diego, CA, and concluded that Celadrin works to "regenerate the skin by enhancing the lipid structure of the cell membrane, enabling the cells to rapidly repair and regenerate." "The majority of OTC skin care creams, gels and emollients contain non-drug ingredients such as common antioxidants, like vitamin C and E, combined with newer compounds such as lipoic acid," said chief researcher, Robert Hesslink, Jr., Imagenetix. "Little, if any standardized clinical investigation into these products has been conducted. Consequently, the main criteria for this study were to establish the safety of the product and demonstrate improvement in combating visible signs of aging," said Mr. Hesslink. "We found that after 21 days of use, Celadrin had penetrated every layer of the skin, and helped to improve the hydration, resiliency, elasticity and firmness of the skin." |
