Fatburger Corporation and Ecast Inc. have begun installing Ecast-powered jukeboxes in Fatburger restaurants. Fatburger is the first major hamburger chain to deploy broadband-enabled jukeboxes. San Francisco-based Ecast brings the power of the digital music revolution to restaurants and taverns nationwide through digital downloading jukeboxes and other devices.

"Having popular music available on jukeboxes for our customers to enjoy has been a core element of the Fatburger experience since the beginning of the chain back in 1952," said Elaine Patel, director of marketing, Fatburger Corporation. "We're delighted to offer this thoroughly modern convenience that so uniquely blends the old with the new."

Fatburger has already installed Ecast-powered jukeboxes at its Irvine, Santa Monica, Corona and Clearwater, Fla. locations, and is in the process of rolling out the broadband-enabled jukes Jukes: see Dugdale, Richard Louis.  chain-wide. While the Ecast Location-Based Broadband Network currently reaches more than 2100 taverns and restaurants in all 50 states, Fatburger is the first quick service restaurant to make Ecast-powered jukeboxes a standard fixture at its existing and upcoming locations.

"Fatburger loyalists have never had to compromise on their taste in burgers, so why should they compromise on their taste in music?" said Bob Cooney, vice president of marketing, Ecast. "With Ecast's catalog of over 150,000 songs to choose from, Fatburger customers will be able to control more than just what they want on their KINGBURGER."

Due to their unprecedented musical selection, Ecast-powered jukeboxes outperform standard CD jukeboxes by as much as 14 to one, based on the national jukebox average as reported by PlayMeter Magazine, which publishes an annual report on national coin-op usage sales. Under the terms of the deal, Fatburger restaurant franchisees will participate in the revenue produced by the Ecast-powered jukebox at their location through a considerable percentage negotiated by Fatburger North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. , Inc.

The new Ecast-powered jukebox is made by Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation (http://www.rock-ola.com/), one of the oldest names in commercial jukeboxes, and comes adorned with custom branded Fatburger graphics, 900 watts of digital audio power and a 19-inch touch-screen monitor. Ecast-powered jukeboxes accept coins, cash and credit cards.

"Who would have thought that two old-time American companies like Fatburger, which has been around since 1952, and Rock-Ola, which was founded in 1927, would be among the first to usher the digital music revolution into the hamburger stand," said Rock-Ola President John Schultz John Schultz (born September 28, 1938) is a former Australian rules football player, who played for the Footscray Football Club in the (then) Victorian Football League (VFL) and is one of the club's greatest players. .
