Fatal fall of Deal or No Deal winner; INQUEST.


AN office worker who won pounds 20,000 on TV's Deal or No Deal fell five floors to his death, an inquest inquest, in law, a body of men appointed by law to inquire into certain matters. The term also refers to the inquiry itself as well as to the findings of the inquiry.  heard.

Richard Pow, 26, is thought to have tripped on stairs while talking or texting on his mobile phone.

Coroner Richard Manning said: "A member of staff heard a loud bang.

"Mr Pow's body was found on the ground floor below where he was last seen. It appears he's fallen and struck the stairwell stair·well

Health and Safety officials are investigating and Mr Manning adjourned the inquest in Leeds.

Richard, whose partner Ellie is pregnant, died in the city's HBOS HBOS Halifax Bank of Scotland  building.

He beat the banker on Noel Edmonds' Channel 4 game show in 2006.

Fellow contestant Richard Hyams, of London, said in an online tribute: "We had great fun and stayed good friends after. It was a privilege to know you."
