FatWire Content Server Launches Boscolo Tours Online.

Leading Web Content Management Solution Supports Brand Expansion Project

MINEOLA, N.Y. -- FatWire Software, a leading web content management provider, announced that Boscolo Tours, a destination services company, chose FatWire Content Server to expand the company's travel and tourism brand online to agents and the consumer market. With the FatWire Content Server solution, organizations can build compelling online experiences by deploying and managing sophisticated, persuasive web sites.

As one of Europe's premiere operators, Boscolo Tours develops pre-packaged and customized tours for nearly five thousand travel agents. Through its network of travel partners, Boscolo coordinates services for over 120 consumer portals including some of Europe's most widely-known providers such as Travelante, MyAir, and Blu-Express.

Boscolo needed a web content management solution that was easy to use, enabled them to launch and manage sites in multiple languages, and provided web 2.0 collaboration and community capabilities. Boscolo had several strategic objectives. In order to facilitate doing business with Boscolo, they had to launch an agent extranet that enabled travel agents to design innovative packages for their customers. Boscolo also wanted to expand its business into the direct-to-consumer market.

To accomplish these goals, Boscolo chose FatWire Content Server to manage their content and engage both new customers and their existing agent base. FatWire Content Server's streamlined business user interfaces and multi-lingual content management capabilities enabled the Boscolo site to be managed across multiple geographies with ease.

Using FatWire Content Server, Boscolo launched an online travel community to build a new brand in the consumer space. This website offers a place where users can provide feedback on tours, share videos and photos, and more. With FatWire Content Server, Boscolo maintains a uniform brand across countries and automates the entire process of managing the web experience, including content authoring, site design, content publishing, deployment, and user-generated-content.

"To be competitive in the travel sector, we look for every opportunity to expand our offerings while increasing market share," states Giorgio Boscolo, Boscolo Tours. "FatWire Content Server enables us to increase online bookings, while reducing call center costs, and improving customer loyalty. Now, we can manage content across boundaries and quickly respond to demands from new consumers, while meeting the needs of our existing B2B base."

"Today, the travel industry needs to leverage a more diverse sales channel to aggressively target new customers which includes travel agents and partners, as well as consumers," said Claude Cosson, FatWire Software's senior vice president of Central Europe. "FatWire Content Server enables Boscolo to expand into new channels to achieve their goals with solution that is easy to use and scales for multi-lingual deployments."
