Unlike standard-width continuous-feed printers, which only accommodate two 6" x 9" images across the width of their paper roll stock, the Xerox systems have a 19.5" web width to fit three images across. As a result, the Xerox systems print 33 percent more 6" x 9" images per minute, reducing the cost per image while improving throughput in the most popular format used for paperback books, statements and invoices. Both Xerox systems are designed for high-volume production of statements, bills and other transaction work in corporate data centers and service bureaus, and for producing books, booklets, brochures and other print-on-demand jobs in corporate printing departments and graphic arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving. shops.
