Agreement Includes Extension of Search Service to Italia OnLine

parent company, Wind, and Solidifies FAST's Position

as Italy's Number One Provider of Search

Fast Search & Transfer(TM) (FAST), a leading developer of search and real-time content filtering See Web filtering and parental control software.  technologies, today announced the extension of its contract with Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A (WIND) for search services provided to the INWIND portal. In addition, FAST will power international search on Italy's largest portal, Italia OnLine, which is now owned by WIND. INWIND portal (www.inwind.it), which already uses FAST for Internet and wireless web search both for national and international queries, will continue using FAST and implement the innovative concept of integrated search results which combine web pages and specialty catalog items such as Mp3, multimedia and image files in the same results page.

On the other side, Italia OnLine portal (www.iol.it) will use Arianna, its own proprietary search technology, concerning the Italian web domain. FAST has been chosen for the worldwide web context due to its "Universal Search" ability, providing great search, both wireline and wireless, and specialty search catalogs.
