Steven Frumkin has been named dean for the Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Frumkin comes to FIT from the School of Business Administration/School of Textiles at Philadelphia University, where he was an associate professor and the associate director-researcher of the Laboratory for Engineered Human Protection. This appointment marks a return to FIT for Frumkin, who was an adjunct assistant professor in the college's textile development and marketing program from 1994-00. Frumkin holds a BS from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and an MBA in marketing from Baruch College. He expects to receive a doctorate in business administration from Argosy University in 2012.
