Successful Save Lids to Save Lives Program Takes a Fashionable Turn

Encouraging Consumers to Bid on One-of-a-Kind

"Lids" to Benefit the Breast Cancer Cause

A dream team of designers, led by TV personality/model/designer EMME EMME Ethernet Management Module with Ethernet , have joined forces to create one-of-a-kind designer "lids" (hats) that will be auctioned on eBay.com from September 27 through October 7, 2002 to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. To enhance its long-standing commitment to the breast cancer cause, Yoplait(R) brought the Save Lids to Save Lives Design Team together for the auction to create a distinctive and fun way for consumers to demonstrate their support in the fight against breast cancer.

The Save Lids to Save Lives online auction is an extension of Yoplait's signature Save Lids to Save Lives(R) program, which this year for the fifth time encourages yogurt-lovers to send in the special pink lids on Yoplait containers to help fight breast cancer. For every pink lid sent in by consumers between September 1 and December 31, 2002, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to the Komen Foundation, up to a maximum of $750,000. The money generated from the program and the auction, combined with an additional guaranteed donation of $750,000 creates a total possible donation of more than $1.5 million for 2002.

"Consumers have really rallied around Yoplait's Save Lids to Save Lives, collecting an outstanding five million lids last year," said Bob Waldron, president, Yoplait USA. "The Save Lids to Save Lives Auction creates another opportunity for people to show their support for the breast cancer cause."
