Farrell Appointed General Manager of SAS Canada.

Carl Farrell today was appointed general manager of SAS' Canadian subsidiary.

Farrell will oversee all aspects of the company's Canadian operations, including sales, marketing, education, alliances and consulting services activities. He will report to Marianna Suciu, SAS (1) (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, www.sas.com) A software company that specializes in data warehousing and decision support software based on the SAS System. Farrell's priorities will include building existing relationships with SAS Canada customers, many of whom who have been using SAS software for more than 20 years, and bringing vertical business applications to leading organizations across Canada Across Canada was an afternoon program that formerly aired on The Weather Network. The segment ran from early 1999 until mid 2002. The show ran from 3:00PM ET until 7:00 PM ET. .

Before joining SAS, Farrell was a vice president of the Vignette Corporation, a leading provider of integrated content management applications. Farrell was also one of the original employees of JBA (JBA International, Inc., Rolling Meadows, IL) A global developer and supplier of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for AS/400, Unix and NT platforms. Founded in 1981 as Johnston Brown Associates, in 1999, it was acquired by Canadian-based Geac Computer Corporation.  Holdings Plc.
