Farmland Industries, Kansas City, Mo., adds Bob Spielberger and Sarah K. Schmidt to its corporate communications staff. Bob Spielberger has been appointed communications manager. He previously served as manager of advertising and creative services. He joined Farmland in 1978 as an advertising specialist.

Sarah K. Schmidt has been appointed public relations manager. She joined Farmland as an account manager and editor in 1999.
