Farmers settles Texas mold case with policyholder Ballard.


A long-running legal dispute between Farmers Insurance Group and policyholder Melinda Melinda - ["Melinda: Linda with Multiple Tuple Spaces", S. Hupfer, YALEU/DCS/RR-766, Yale U Feb 1990]. Ballard that drew nationwide attention to the issue of "toxic mold" has been settled, both sides confirmed.

"The parties have agreed to a confidential settlement, and so, we can't comment on the matter further than that," Farmers spokeswoman Michelle Levy said.

Ballard--the founder of consumer advocacy group Policyholders of America--also said she couldn't comment on the specific terms of the agreement.
