Farm Progress Companies Inc., Carol Stream, Ill., announces the appointment of Jeff Lapin as president. In his new role, Lapin leads the company's nationwide network of state/regional farm and ranch publications, five world-class farm shows, its ag-oriented custom publishing and marketing services group, and its extensive Internet operations and ancillary products. Lapin has extensive publishing experience, most recently as president of Squid Media Inc., a Cincinnati, Ohio, marketing and promotion consulting and media development firm. Additionally, Lapin was senior vice president and general manager, magazine/educational services of F&W Publications Inc. He also worked for Harvest Farm Unit, HBJ Publications.
