Farid Paracha salutes Army for its role against the enemy.

LAHORE, October 12, 2009 (Frontier Star): Dr Farid Ahmed Paracha, deputy Secretary General of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, has said that future military revolution in the country could be forestalled only by Pervez Musharraf's trial under article 6 of the constitution. Future military intervention can't be prevented merely by observing 12th of October as Black Day, he said, in a press statement on Monday. He said that the 2- years record of the democratic government after Musharraf proved that the military rule destroyed all institutions of the state. He said that Pervez Musharraf overran the parliament and this process was still continuing under the democratic rule. Pervez Musharraf caused bloodshed at the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, and he was responsible for the killings of thousands of Pakistanis in Baluchistan, Waziristan, in Karachi on May 12 and 9th of April. All these crimes call for his immediate trial, he said. He saluted the army for its role against the enemy but opposed its interference in politics.
