"Print Security Manager allows the card issuance administrator to easily monitor and manage the card issuance process across a local area network," said John Ekers, Fargo director of product marketing for systems and software. "It affordably provides a number of management and issuance security tools for the card printer network that are generally available to only the largest enterprise ID projects."

Print Security Manager adds layers of management and card issuance protection with five integrated security software applications:
Printer Management promotes efficient management of networked ID
card printers with centralized printer administration. It helps
deter unauthorized printing with detailed event notification. It
also supports faster resolution of technical problems through
remote access to printer control panels.

User Configuration helps protect the integrity of a card identity
system by allowing the administrator to configure user profiles
for different levels of access to applications and features.

Reports provides information on card printer status, print
notifications, materials use and user activities to facilitate
    more informed management decision making.

Materials Management helps guard against theft and misuse of
materials by tracking their inventory and movement within an
organization. It also provides management of ID card materials
using Fargo's SecureVault(TM) ID Materials Management System.

Materials e-Ordering adds convenience and reduces downtime by
providing a link to a Fargo SecureMark(TM) Integrator website for
    reordering.

For greater security on individual card printer workstations within the network, an optional security software application called Print Security Client is also available. Print Security Client includes the following features:
Security Imaging: Using Fargo's new Fluorescing Ribbon, the
Security Imaging application adds covert security features such as
customized logos and unique numbers to ID cards. Viewable under
ultraviolet light, these covert features provides critical
    forensic data.

Printer Access: This feature offers security managers the ability
to set passwords within the printer that are required to make the
ID card printer/encoder operational. Printer Access reduces both
internal and external threats of fraud or misuse by rendering a
stolen or illegitimately accessed printer unusable.
