Farewell to Bangkok gran Lydia.


HUNDREDS of people attended a service in memory of Bangkok mugging victim Lydia Riach yesterday.

It was a service of thanks and a celebration of a life, said Minister Peter Donald, of the Crown Church in Inverness Inverness, town, Scotland
Inverness (ĭn'vərnĕs`), town (1991 pop. 39,736), Highland, N Scotland, on the Moray Firth at the mouth of the Ness River.
 Gran Gran: see Esztergom, Hungary.  Lydia died of head injuries after being attacked by two street robbers on August 29. She was 58.

Her body was cremated in Bangkok on September 8 and the ashes will be interred later.

Lydia's son Roger Riach, from Glasgow, said yesterday that Thai police, who are treating the death as murder, had made an arrest.
