Far right group to return.Byline: Mark Cowan A GROUP whose presence in Birmingham city centre sparked ugly scenes of violence at the weekend has vowed to target the city again with another demo. The group, calling itself the English Defence League, claimed they would again travel to Birmingham later this month to continue their protest against Islamic fundamentalism Islamic fundamentalism is a term used to describe religious ideologies seen as advocating literalistic interpretations of the texts of Islam and of Sharia law.[1] Definitions of the term vary. . Police have no powers to ban their demo but politicians urged the Lutonbased group to "stay away". Police believe gangs of thugs jumped on the back of opposing demonstrations at the weekend intent on causing trouble.
