To introduce a solution into the body through a vein for therapeutic purposes. the bodies and minds of a new generation when intermediate and advanced modern dance and ballet students ages 16 and older gather June 9-21 for the 2003 Frostburg Summer Dance Retreat in Maryland. Faculty members include festival founder and director Barry Fischer; Juilliard graduate Diane Gray; Stuart Hodes, a former dance partner of Graham; Peggy Lyman, former Graham principal dancer A principal dancer is similar to a soloist in dance. However, principals are hired by a ballet or dance company to perform not only solos, but also pas de deux. A principal may be male or female. ; and Kenneth Topping (pictured), director of the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and artistic director of its performing arm, the Martha Graham Dance Ensemble A group of dancers preforming under a common name: the dance equivalent of a band. Examples would be Riverdance and Shuvani. .
