Family adopts recovered pit bull.

Lucky Lucky!

The year-old pit bull went home with her new family today, and everybody seems delighted with the outcome.

It all paid off, and five families offered to give the new-and-improved Lucky a permanent home.

In part because of the Madsens' background - he grew up with pit bulls and she worked as an animal control officer in California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W).  - the choice became easier.

The dog had her say, too - "actually, she really picked them," Wellington said.

Lucky, lucky.
