The fall concert season is going to present us with all kind of ways to spend our cash. The concert lineup for the next few months is a heady mix of big-name acts and up-and-comers, of cult favorites and rock legends. September Perhaps no show stands out more in September than Robert Plant at the Hult Center. The former Led Zeppelin lead singer, a man graced with one of the best voices in rock history, is on tour in support of his latest record, "The Mighty Rearrang- er." Plant's isn't the only big name. Living Colour, the rock band that rose to prominence in the late 1980s, is coming to the WOW Hall. John Henry's has scheduled performances from Kristin Hoffman and the Ginger Hustlers, and will for one week include some special guest musicians - James Whiton and the Downtown Apostles - during the Sunday Broadway Revue. Over at Cozmic Pizza, the "queen of the Detroit blues," Alberta Adams, will play a set with Eugene's own the Vipers featuring Deb Cleveland. Later in the month, the joint will be groovin' with the Nicaraguan-, Peruvian-, Cuban-, Columbian- and Caribbean-flavored tunes of Cuchata. Finally, music, dance, spoken word, fine art, performance art, comedy and magic will collide with the Express Yourself event. September ends and October begins on one very big weekend - the Eugene Celebration. Rock 'n' Roll rock 'n' roll: see rock music. Northwest Royale is back home for a show with Syx, Denots and Forrestal's Fall, while Attack Ships on Fire, Western Aerial, Dirt Clod Fight and Station Wag bring on the good ol' rock 'n' roll. Finally, the fun ends Halloween weekend with a show from on the first day ... they were kittens (one of our favorite band names), The Death Of and Virtuous Pagans. There will be Bulgarian Gypsy music at Agate Hall. At the Jungle, expect the Jazz Mandolin Project The Jazz Mandolin Project, is a jazz jam band from Burlington, Vermont, led by mandolinist Jamie Masefield. Luckey's will host a couple of benefits in October, one for the Cascadia Wildlands Center and another for Womenspace. The club also is hosting Portland's the Invisible for a show with Eugene's own Fast Com- puters. In October at Sam Bond's, the stage will be graced by Dan Bern, among other performers. Over at John Henry's, Inara George and Norfolk and Western will keep things humming, as will Split Lip Rayfield Split Lip Rayfield is a vocal and (acoustic) instrumental group from Wichita, Kansas. Finally, the Hult Center gives us the opportunity to write two names in succession we never thought we'd ever see: Anne Murray and George Car- lin. November As we get further into the fall, it's harder to predict exactly who's playing. Here's what we know so far. The Hult Center is shaking the demographic tree, hosting shows by the Moody Blues, Jason Mraz and Bonnie Raitt. Once again, the McDonald will be hopping, with sets from Atmosphere, Amos Lee, Bright Eyes, Blues Traveler and comedian Suzanne Westenhoefer. Luckey's is bringing back the popular band the Carolines for a show with the Dimes and Anaura, while Sam Bond's will play host to the Clumsy Lovers and Laura Viers. John Henry's always-hairy Moustache Rally makes a return appearance. The Shedd keeps things classy, with shows from jazz clarinetist Ken Peplowski and whimsical "noise-maker" Maywa Denki.
