During evening prayer in August, Brother Roger Schutz, who founded the ecumenical Taize community in Burgundy, France in 1949, was stabbed to death in the Church of Reconciliation there. He wrote a letter titled "The Future of Peace" earlier in the year. In it he talks about faith amidst a·midst
