 in the article ["Panorama," April 2005]. You wrote that M&G is planning to build a polyethylene plant in Ipojuca, Brazil. M&G is in fact building a polyethylene terephthalate Ter`eph´tha`late

n. 1. (Chem.) A salt of terephthalic acid.
 (PET) plant and has no plans to construct a polyethylene plant in the area.

As I'm sure you're aware, these two types of facilities are very distinct types of production and I am sure you can appreciate the confusion and impact this error holds for M&G. We also wanted to let you know that M&G plans to construct a new PTA PTA or parent-teacher association: see parent education.  [purified terephthalic acid Terephthalic acid is one isomer of the three phthalic acids.
