The troops, constantly tormented by irresponsible gangs, finally (Mar. , an engraving engraving, in its broadest sense, the art of cutting lines in metal, wood, or other material either for decoration or for reproduction through printing. In its narrowest sense, it is an intaglio printing process in which the lines are cut in a metal plate with a of the shooting, made by patriot Paul Revere Revere, city (1990 pop. 42,786), Suffolk co., E Mass., a residential suburb of Boston, on Massachusetts Bay; settled c.1630, set off from Chelsea and named for Paul Revere 1871, inc. as a city 1914. (from another artist's work), was used to rally colonists against British rule. But in some key ways, the engraving inaccurately depicts the incident. How does Revere's engraving differ from what actually happened?
