Fabcon purchases concrete manufacturing sites; Acquired plants add capacity, strengthen presence in Northeast quadrant of U.S.


MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 1995--Fabcon announced today it has completed the purchase of two American Precast Concrete precast concrete

The Indiana and Ohio facilities, like Fabcon's Minnesota plant, presently utilize rolling casting beds. Fabcon is modernizing the two plants, adding additional rolling beds and equipment. According to Hanson, the planned improvements should dramatically increase capacity by the fall of 1995. "We should see capacity increase by approximately 50 percent within a year," Hanson said.

Current projects in the area include Meijer, Menards, Tops and Electric Avenue stores, distribution facilities for FedEx, Lowe's and OTP (1) (One Time Programmable) Refers to programming content or logic into chips such as EPROMs and EEPROMs, which cannot be reversed. See antifuse.
