FURLOUGHED WORKERS GET RELIEF FROM BGE
BGE introduced its flexible payment program four years ago in response to the economic challenges facing the local workforce. Since then, the program has helped thousands of customers get through difficult financial times without fear of service interruption.
"Many customers are finding themselves out of work for the very first time," said Greg Martin, Manager, Customer Service. "Often, they don't know how to access the various programs and services available to aid them. We want these customers to call us so that we can help."
To further assist customers, BGE also publishes and distributes Help For the Recently Unemployed -- a brochure which contains the names and numbers of local agencies and non-profit organizations that provide human services and energy assistance. The brochures are available at the 10 BGE Appliance & Home Electronics stores. Customers may also have copies mailed to their homes.
For more information about the BGE flexible payment program or for a copy of the brochure, customers should call 410-685-0123, or 800-685-0123 from outside of the Baltimore area.
