FUJITSU-ICL DEMONSTRATES SUPPORT OF ADA LEGISLATION
On May 28, a public hearing will be held at the Holiday Inn Crown

Plaza in Washington, D.C., to review a petition requesting that the reach range requirement for accessible Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) under the Americans with Disabilities Guidelines (ADAAG) be amended. The petition was submitted by the American Bankers Association, NCR Corp. and InterBold.
The key issue to be evaluated at this hearing is the maximum height for vertical and horizontal reach. The petitioners question the feasibility of this height requirement.
In support of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fujitsu-ICL Systems Inc. will testify at the hearing regarding ATM access and use for physically challenged Americans. Fujitsu-ICL will demonstrate that the currently established vertical height maximum of 48" is achievable using their Series 7000 ATMs.
