City (pop., 2001: 143,035), capital of Bahrain. Situated at the northeastern tip of Bahrain island, it is Bahrain's largest city, with about one-fifth of the emirate's population.

) were discussed at a meeting between Dr Fakhro Fakhro or Al Fakhro (فخرو in Arabic} is the family name of an Arab business family located in Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The Al Darwish الدرويش , Al Obaidan  and an American academic expert.

The minister said that trade between the two countries is growing as he received John Stewart John Stewart may be:
  • John "Walking" Stewart (1747–1822), English traveller and philosopher
  • John D. Stewart (1833–1894), United States Representative from Georgia
  • John Knox Stewart (1853–1919), United States Representative from New York
  • John K.
, who gave a detailed presentation on FTA effects on Bahrain's economy.

Dr Fakhro called for promoting investments in the kingdom and removing obstacles that the private sector may face.

The minister also confirmed that the FTA was a key factor behind the rapid development and growing economic relation between the two countries.

Mr Stewart thanked the minister for his efforts to consolidate the trade ties.
