FSMLabs Establishes EMEA Presence and Hires Software Veteran as Managing Director.

New Operation Headed by Jason Whitmire

Mr. Whitmire is a 15-year veteran of the software and systems solution industry, most recently with Infineon Technologies, and will lead FSMLabs' Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and worldwide wireless organizations.

FSMLabs also announced the formal creation of the EMEA office, located in Munich, Germany, to complement the company's strong growth in Europe by establishing a sales, marketing and support organization in partnership with the company's global reseller network. "Jason is a recognized voice in the communications software and system solutions industry," said FSMLabs CEO Dr. Victor Yodaiken. "His experience in the wireless industry is a crucial asset to FSMLabs' next phase of growth as we continue our leadership in hard real-time enabling technologies for Linux and security solutions."

Mr. Whitmire's experience at Infineon's software business unit was marked by rapid growth. During his tenure, he was instrumental in founding the software business unit and was a key contributor to growing the unit's revenue from $7M to more than $95M within four years, where he was responsible for promoting the company's advanced software to silicon vendors, system manufacturers OEMs and ODMs worldwide.

Prior to Infineon, Mr. Whitmire's roles included Director of Product Management at Group3G UMTS GmbH (the former mobile operator venture of Telefonica and Sonera), Director of Business Development at Telegate AG (acquired by Telecom Italia and Seat Pagine Gialle "SEAT" for $925M), and Head of VAS Projects at Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM). Mr. Whitmire was also a Technology Advisor, under the Clinton Administration, to the US Department of State.
