Today, actors, singers and other Hollywood personalties are vying to have their names associated with environmental issues pertaining to wood and wood products. Jennifer Lopez is the latest superstar to show her support for sustainable forestry Sustainable forestry is a forest management practice. The basic tenet of sustainable forestry is that the amount of goods and services yielded from a forest should be at a level the forest is capable of producing without degradation of the soil, watershed features or seed source . The pop singer and actress is featured in a new public service announcement supporting the Forest Stewardship Council The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit organization based in Bonn, Germany. The Council's stated mission is "to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests". (FSC FSC See: Foreign Sales Corporation ). Entitled, "Nothing Else is Good Enough," it promotes the purchase of wood from well-managed forests.
