FRP PROPERTIES VOTES TO INCREASE NUMBER OF DIRECTORS JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- FRP Properties, Inc.
(NASDAQ: FRPP) announced that its board of directors voted to increase the number of directors by three and elected Robert H. Paul III, Martin E. Stein Jr. and James H. Winston to fill the vacancies.
Paul, age 58, is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Southeast-Atlantic Corporation which manufactures and distributes Canada Dry and other soft drink products. Paul has been with Southeast-Atlantic since 1958 and was appointed its president and chief executive officer in 1974. He is a longtime resident of Jacksonville and has a long record of service to the community through various civic and charitable organizations, including the Jacksonville Art Museum, Jacksonville Wolfson Children's Hospital and Junior Achievement. Stein, age 39, is president and chief executive officer of The Regency Group, Inc., a privately owned corporation that provides a full range of commercial real estate services and controls significant investments in mortgage servicing, commercial printing and food services. Stein has been with the Regency Group since 1976 and was appointed its president and chief executive officer in 1988. He is a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and has served on the board of governors of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Florida Council of 100 and the Urban Land Institute. Winston, age 58, is chairman-director of LPMC, a Jacksonville- based investment real estate firm. He is also president of Omega Insurance Company, Citadel Life & Health Insurance Company and Wellington Investments and a general partner of White Oak Land Company. Winston serves on the board of directors of the Barnett Bank of Jacksonville and Stein Mart, Inc. Winston, a longtime resident of Jacksonville, is past president of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as president of the Jacksonville Symphony. FRP Properties, Inc. is engaged in the transportation and real estate businesses. Its subsidiary, Florida Rock & Tank Lines, Inc., is a southeastern transportation company concentrating in the hauling by motor carrier of liquid and dry bulk commodities as well as construction aggregates.
