The Arts District
 is hopping with lots of things to do over the holidays. In this edition, we highlight The Crumple Zone The crumple zone of a vehicle such as a train or an automobile is a structural feature designed to compress during an accident to absorb energy from an impact. Typically, crumple zones are located in the front part of the vehicle, in order to absorb the impact of a head-on , about a group of gay friends spending the holidays together, and Noel Coward's Easy Virtue, which tells of a woman who is haunted by her troubled past. Stories and photos of both plays are on page 6.

Page 7 features two stories about the local visual art scene. We showcase NoHo Gallery LA's latest exhibit, which celebrates artists who pursue their craft full time, and we let you know about a new gift shop that's opening at VIVA vi·va
