FROM THE FRINGE : HOLE OF THE WEEK.SIMI HILLS The Simi Hills are a low rocky mountain range in Southern California. The sneaky-long par-4 is flanked by a creek on the left, out-of-bounds hillside on the right, a stream crossing the fairway and wind that usually is in the golfer's face. ``You have to keep your tee shots low in the wind,'' McDermott said. ``Sometimes you have to hit a 1-iron. I think if you asked most people what hole gives them the hardest time on the back side, this would be the one.''
