 FRIEDLANDER RECEIVES FIRST HUMANITARIAN AWARD
 FROM FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Ben G. Friedlander is the recipient of the first Humanitarian Award ever presented by the Florida Association of Realtors. The 65,000-member group honored Friedlander at its recent 76th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Orlando.
Friedlander, of Big Ben Realty, Inc., has worked on behalf of several organizations, including the March of Dimes, the PTA and his synagogue. But he has been especially active with the Pinellas Association for Retarded Children (PARC) over the past 12 years.
In nominating Friedlander for the Humanitarian Award, Bert Muller, PARC's president emeritus noted, "He is without a doubt the single most valuable volunteer in the history of this organization...He has unlimited energy that he continuously channels in the direction of children who live and learn at PARC."
Commenting on his reason for being involved with PARC, Friedlander said, "There is no way you cannot love someone that does everything they can with what they have."
The Florida Association of Realtors initiated the Humanitarian Award to identify and recognize realtors who are compassionate, involved and sympathetic community members. FAR, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its members in 87 local boards/associations throughout Florida.
