FRENCH BUSINESS DELEGATION.


The French National Business Council, consisting of representatives from 43 banks and companies wrapped up its fourth working visit to Cuba on May 2. Several members signed bilateral agreements with Cuban authorities. A new joint-venture with French and Cuban financing will soon begin construction of eight luxury hotels on the island at a cost of US$25 million. French lending agencies this year have reportedly extended credit to Havana amounting to more than US$185 million.
