FREE WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFERS TO HURRICANE VICTIMS AVAILABLE
 AT SELECT SAFEWAY STORES
 BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately, fees will be waived on funds wired to victims of Hurricane Andrew through Western Union services located in Safeway stores in Washington, Alaska, Northern Idaho, Montana and Milton-Freewater, Ore., Safeway said today. Safeway stores in these areas offer Western Union transfer services from their customer service office. From now through Sept. 13, Safeway customers utilizing Western Union services may wire funds at no charge to friends and loved ones who reside in the following counties and parishes only:
 Florida (counties): Dade, Broward and Monroe.
 Louisiana (parishes): East Baton Rouge; West Baton Rouge; Livingston; St. Tammany; Tangipahoa; Ascension; St. John the Baptist; St. James; Jefferson; St. Charles; Plaquemines; LaFourche; Terrebonne; Assumption; Iberville; St. Martin; Iberia; Lafayette; Vermillion and St. Mary.
 Funds must be sent to a specific individual who is aware the transfer is coming and can show proof of normal residency in one of the counties or parishes listed above. For more information, contact a local Safeway or call Western Union at 800-325-6000.
 The Seattle Division of Safeway Inc. is made up of 178 stores in Washington, Northern Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Milton-Freewater, Ore. Safeway Inc. is one of the world's largest retailers, operating more than 1,100 stores in the United States and Canada.
 NOTE: No fee means that the consumer pays the principal and the fee is waived.
