FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS TO BE OFFERED.

CANYON COUNTRY -- Free health screenings will be offered Friday at a health fair presented by Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital at the Santa Clarita Activities Center.

The fair will run from noon to 2 p.m. and offer screenings including height and weight measurement, blood-pressure monitoring, cholesterol measurement, body-fat analysis/body-mass index, pulse testing and carbon-monoxide measurement for smokers. The activities center is at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.

Doctors will be available for participants to talk with about their own heart health, and dietitians will offer eating tips.
