FREE FUN READY TO FLOW IN NOHO.

Live performances ranging from fire-eating to belly dancing will be featured throughout the fifth annual NoHo Theater and Arts Festival An arts festival or art fair is a festival that focuses on the visual arts, but which may also focus on other arts.

Arts festivals in the visual arts are exhibitions.
 this weekend.

And it's all free.

The festival, which will begin at 11 a.m. today and conclude Sunday evening, provides a showcase for the many actors, artisans and musicians who live in and around the North Hollywood and Universal City areas.

The sidewalks will be like an open market on Lankershim Boulevard, between Magnolia and Weddington streets, during the festival.

The Universal City-North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Valley Theatre League co-produce the annual event. Festival officials say partnerships with the city's Cultural Affairs Department and the Community Redevelopment Agency have ensured that the festival has remained free to the public.

Sponsors of the festival this year include the Daily News and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

There will be ample free parking.

All shows will take place on one of three stages on Lankershim Boulevard between Magnolia and Chandler boulevards. Festival hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
